Fue construido en la regi\u00f3n tur\u00edstica del norte en la zona de Nahar\u00eda sobre la tierra donada por la Sra. Vera Weizmann, la esposa del primer presidente de Israel, el fallecido Doctor Chaim Weizmann.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Al principio, el centro sirvi\u00f3 a los 6.000 soldados heridos en la Guerra de Independencia, pero luego de la Guerra de Seis D\u00edas, fue puesto a disposici\u00f3n del Cuerpo M\u00e9dico de Tzahal, usado como cl\u00ednica de reposo para soldados heridos convalecientes. A trav\u00e9s de los a\u00f1os, Beit Kay, con su programa repleto de actividades ha continuado atrayendo a miles de soldados heridos de Tzahal.
