June 2021 Sports Achievements Updates
What a month of fun and activity, from Haifa to Be’er-Sheva, Beit Halochem members from all centers competed in different sport activities, we have a lot to cover so let’s get started!
Table Tennis
Beit Halochem Haifa Table Tennis players won 8 trophies at the Israeli Championship for Disabled Players which took place in Rishon Lezion and was attended by more than 100 players.
Ashkelon Triathlon
1500 m swimming, 40 km cycling, 10 km running!! Congratulations to all participants in the Ashkelon Triathlon, the members of the Jerusalem Beit Halochem Triathlon team: Dudi Cohen and Saadia Gavstein competed in the Olympic round, and Yaron Arbel competed in the Sprint – 750 meters swimming, 20 km cycling, 5 km running.

they make us so proud.
Beit Halochem Jerusalem Backgammon Champion
Thursday morning at Beit Halochem Jerusalem –
Over 50 participants competed for the title of “Beit Halochem Jerusalem Backgammon Champion”. You could feel the tension in the air as the competitive players push themselves to achieve the coveted goal.
The title of Beit Halochem Jerusalem Backgammon Champion for 2021 was won by Zvi Issachar.
Second place went to Nissim Wolf.
The 33rd League for Workplaces Games in Eilat
84 athletes and 9 coaches from Beit Halochem Jerusalem joined dozens of teams in the 33rd District Games that took place in the city of Eilat. This year about 4,600 civil servants from local Municipalities, alongside university and hospital employees arrived to Eilat to participate in the 33rd annual event by the “Association for Workplaces” Sports Association.
Beit Halochem Jerusalem team won 9 trophies (bowling, chess, volleyball, table tennis, bridge), and proved, once again, that the love for sports exceeds all boundaries. Congratulations to all our members, the coaches and the professional team for such amazing achievements. You are the champions!
Congratulations to the Snooker team of Beit Halochem Be’er-Sheva,
Led by the team manager David Bitton, for winning this championship for the third year in a row, great appreciation to all team members, great pride especially on the beautiful way the team conducts itself and brings achievements.
Kay College visit to Beit Halochem Be’er-Sheva
Like every year, physical education students from Kay College arrived at Beit Halochem Be’er-Sheva to become acquainted with disabled sports activities.
As part of the visit, and guided by members of Beit Halochem, the students experienced wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis. They also met up with one of the hand bike coaches Offer Toiser who related to them the challenges of hand cycling and tandem bike riding.

Ben Yehuda Ziv and Yizhar Cohen from Beit Haloham Tel Aviv won first place in the Israeli tandem Bicycle Championship.
At the Israel Handcycle Championship, Amit Hasdai won the title of 2021 Israeli Champion.
Rehearsals started! – preparations for the “Carmiel Festival”
Beit Halochem’s dance company began preparations for the “Carmiel Festival” which will take place this year between July 27-29. The troupe will perform in the final show on the main stage.
Choreography: Limor Buda Salpati The troupe consists of 3 dance companies: from Beit Halochem Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva and Haifa. This year we have an exciting addition when members from Beit Halochem Tel Aviv’s Paralympic dance team will join and perform for the first time on this stage.
