Julia Chernoy – Shooting
Julia was born with a disability that makes it difficult for her to walk and she uses a cane. Only at the age of 30 did she start training as a Para-Triathlete and in 2012 won the European Championship.
Julia was adopted as an athlete by Tel Aviv’s Beit Halochem when she began sailing in a double boat with sailing partner Reuven Magnagy – a disabled IDF Veteran from Beit Halochem Tel Aviv. Julia and Reuven participated in the Rio 2016 Games.
After the games in Rio for personal and professional reasons she decided to discontinue her involvement in sailing and began practicing shooting where she excelled.
