The story of Sagi Elmaliach

  • The story of Sagi Elmaliach

Sagi Elmaliach is a 30 year old, single father of three. He lives in Beer Sheva and was a fighter in the BSM Negev Police.

Sagi was shot three times while fighting in Ofakim.

“There were three of us wounded at the time and we had no way to help ourselves or each other. An Israeli civilian arrived with his car and helped us get out of Ofakim.

The physical wounds are recovering relatively quickly but the psychological ones less so.

I arrived at Beit Halochem, Beer Sheva to see what it had to offer. Other Police from my unit are here with me. Former comrades who were wounded in previous battles have highly recommended Beit Halochem. I have confidence they can help me.

In my Police unit we lost two Police officers, and we have a kidnapped officer. Despite that,  we are trying to stay strong and lift our spirits as much as possible. In war, most things are closed. So, I will come here and maybe bring my family too, so that we can clear our heads a little.
