Hagar Zehavi and Shimon Ben Yaacov were injured during their military service. Both are trying to achieve their dream to win an Olympic Medal in Sailing at the forthcoming 2012 London Games.

Earlier this year the two Tel Aviv Beit Halochem sailors participated in their first World Championship in London where they secured their place at the 2012 London Paralympic Games. They compete on a SKUD 18 boat.

The SKUD 18 is a very fast sail boat, characterized by its light weight and large sails.

This particular model is an Olympic model for a team of two disabled sailors, the helmsperson must be a tall paraplegic and the other crew member must be a woman.

About a year away from the Paralympic Games they have a very intense training program ahead of them.
Hagar and Shimon train 5 times a week, 6 hours each day. These past few days they have been at a training camp in Eilat.
