Born in Russia Polina graduated from a university in Russia. In sports, and competed as a healthy athlete in the Shot Put branch.

In 1989 she was severely injured in a car accident and underwent a leg amputation. She immigrated to Israel in 2000 and lives in Jerusalem.

Polina began her athletic rehabilitation in the same sport since childhood and continued her sporting rehabilitation at the Jerusalem’s Beit Halochem in Powerlifting.
